FIDDLE TIPS

FIDDLE TIP 1. Another "players nightmare" - solved.

Do you worry about the connectors parting while playing?
Some do, some don't. But you can fix it anyway. The picture tells all.

Take a soft piece of leather.
Cut a strip about 4 x1 inches.
Make a round hole - start with a 3/8" hole and add a slit at the 6 o'clock position to make a "tight" buttonhole.

Add two more small slits at the lower end to take a plastic tie for the plug. Use two if you need!

The lower connector body can then be bound firmly to the leather to take the weight of the cable when the leather is fitted on the button.

Low cost, little chance of damage, no vibration.

I've just been told the material from a discarded wetsuit does a good job!!
I guess any material that doesn't easily tear will do, 'and not too thick.
